Remote workstation services

ARE has one machine as of now that is available to faculty and graduate students. This tower has 20 CPU cores (E5-2630 v4 – Dual-core) and 128GB of RAM

  • The tower is running Windows Server 2016, which allows for dual RDP sessions simultaneously. The computer shares the resources if both users are connected to it at the same time.
  • Please note that this is a SHARED resource and should not be abused. If you would like to have remote access to this machine please contact ARE IT. You will need to provide a brief explanation as to why you need access to this computer and what software you are planning on using on the computer.
  • You will need to use Google Calendar (you will be added to it, once approved) to schedule the days/time you are planning on using the workstation. ARE IT will share calendar with you

CEnREP has multiple workstations available for students/faculty. Please contact Roger von Haefen (CEnREP interim director) if you desire to use CEnREP workstations.
