mac OS password sync

Jamf Connect is a tool that ARE IT uses for our mac OS computers to keep your local computer password in sync with your unity ID password. In order to manually sync your mac OS passwords you need to be able to log-in to your computer. If you cannot log-in to your computer, please contact ARE IT.

  1. Open Jamf Connect Sign In window by clicking in the upper right corner on the JAMF logo
  3. Hit Connect
  4. Your username and password should be in the following format:
    1. Username: <unityID>@ncsu.edu
    2. Password: your current unity ID password.
  5. Input your Local Password – this will be your old password.
  6. Your password should now be synced
