Windows 11 Upgrade 24H2 is available via Software Center only for those computers that qualify.
Type winver into your search bar, this will show you what version of Windows you have on your computer.
Users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to Windows 11 24H2 via Self Service. This upgrade will only show up if you are running an older version of Windows 11 21H2 or 22H2. If you do not upgrade your computer will upgrade on its own on or after August 1st, 2025.
You can find Windows 11 upgrade in Software Center under Updates in Software Center.
- You will need at least 15GB of free disk space in order to upgrade to Windows 11 24H2.
- Please allow the computer some time – anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours depending on the machine to complete this upgrade. Please save your work.
- This upgrade will not delete any data and will just upgrade the OS. If you have any critical data on the system(s) you’re upgrading, please back it up.

- Your machine doesn’t qualify to run the OS based on the requirements set by Microsoft or
- Your machine hasn’t received the upgrade in Software Center. Here is how to manually trigger it
