Windows 11 Upgrade 25H2 is available via Software Center for computers running an older version of Windows 11 (23H2 and older).
Click on the search bar or hit Windows key on your keyboard, type winver into your search bar and hit Enter key on your keyboard, this will show you what version of Windows you have on your computer. If it’s older than Windows 11 23H2, you will need to upgrade.
Users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to Windows 11 25H2 via Self Service before the deadline. This upgrade will only show up if you are running an older version of older versions of Windows 11 starting from 23H2 and older. Windows 11 systems already at build 24H2 or higher will not be upgraded. If you do not upgrade your computer will upgrade on its own on or after July 24th, 2026.
You can find Windows 11 upgrade in Software Center under Updates in Software Center (screenshot below).
- Please allow the computer some time – anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours depending on the machine to complete this upgrade. Please save your work.
- You will need at least 15GB of free disk space in order to upgrade to Windows 11 25H2.
- This upgrade will not delete any data and will just upgrade the OS. If you have any critical data on the system(s) you’re upgrading, please back it up.
If you do not see Windows 11, version 25H2 Upgrade in Self Service under Updates.
- Your machine hasn’t received the upgrade in Software Center. Here is how to manually trigger it to show up.
- Navigate to Control Panel –> Configuration Manager–>Actions. Run the following actions:
- Software Updates Deployment Evaluation Cycles and Software Updates Scan Cycle, hit OK.
